Love is in the airport! It’s that time of year when people think about what they love most. For our team, that includes the seasonal content we designed to make every trip through security just a little more romantic.

While the checkpoint hasn’t historically been a passenger favorite, Synect has spent the last seven years working with TSA to help make it better, faster, and more passenger-friendly with ReadySeeGo®, a TSA-vetted solution that’s part of the Checkpoint Requirements and Planning Guide (CRPG).
As we prepare to celebrate Valentine's Day, plus other holidays and upcoming events, we’re deploying something special to make security less stressful, more engaging, and much more efficient: holiday-themed action cards with helpful reminders and real-time TSA wait times.
A History of Helping Security Move Better
For years, ReadySeeGo has helped TSA and airport teams improve checkpoint flow with action cards: dynamic, always-on visual prompts that guide passengers through security. Reminders to remove items from their pockets, have IDs out, and comply with screening regulations ensure travelers reach the divestment area fully prepared. This reduces last-minute fumbling and keeps lines moving smoothly.
Automated, proactive communication with passengers reduces confusion. It minimizes the need for last-minute verbal directions from officers, making the experience calmer and more efficient for passengers and Transportation Security Officers (TSOs).
As Austin Gould, President of Gould Strategic Solutions and former Acting Executive Assistant Administrator of Operations Support for the TSA, said during our 2024 panel at FTE Global:
“Do not underestimate the security benefits of effective communications ... a calm, sterile checkpoint is the way to go.”
In addition to helpful visual divestment reminders, seasonal content integrates real-time TSA wait times, providing passengers with clear expectations before they reach the checkpoint. When travelers know what to expect and what’s expected of them, they're prepared for screening well before they reach the bins. This makes lines move faster, reduces bottlenecks, improves efficiency, and enhances the overall experience.
Why Real-Time Wait Times Matter
When people don’t know how long a line will take, the wait feels longer. Research from David Maister shows that uncertainty leads to stress and frustration, while clear, real-time updates make wait times feel shorter and more manageable.
Synect integrates and emphasizes wait times to help passengers confidently plan their next steps, reducing stress and making security feel more predictable and efficient. Paired with engaging seasonal messaging, real-time updates transform security from a point of potential frustration into a smoother, smarter part of the airport experience.

Security with a Seasonal Twist
While action cards are always part of ReadySeeGo®, this Valentine’s Day content brought some extra charm to the checkpoint. Playful visuals remind passengers to empty their pockets (yes, even those candy hearts and love notes) and prepare for security screening, making it easier for them to divest quickly.
As part of our ongoing collaboration with TSA, we’ll continue rolling out content that helps passengers celebrate at every step of their journey. We’re reminding passengers to remove their green, gold, and purple accessories on Mardi Gras, leave shamrocks behind on St. Patrick’s Day, take off their basketball shoes during March Madness, and more.
Each custom-made action card elevates security communication and streamlines passenger flow while adding a touch of personality to the passenger journey. As airports across the country prepare for a decade of mega-events, we’re expanding Passenger360 and our Better, Faster Security Checkpoints program to reduce congestion and build better experiences for every passenger.
Synect’s Perspective
ReadySeeGo has helped TSA and airport teams around the US create faster, more intuitive checkpoints, reducing stress and improving flow. With seasonal engagement and real-time information, we’re proving that security doesn’t have to be a pain point. It can be clear, efficient, and even fun.
Because really, who doesn’t love a smooth airport security experience?
