Enhancing Passenger Flow and Increasing Throughput
The Greater Orlando Aviation Authority turned to Synect for an enterprise-level visual communication solution for Orlando International Airport’s new Terminal C. The solution needed to welcome, engage, and assist passengers from curbside to gates and back to enhance passenger flow, increase throughput, and streamline operations.
Synect’s Passenger360® was already in place at Terminals A and B, helping passengers navigate their journey with massive canvases across the airport. Synect extended the system to Terminal C, providing the airport with a single system to control more than 2,000 connected displays. This visual communication ecosystem helps passengers at key touchpoints, including ticketing, security, info desks, concessions, gates, arrivals, customs and border protection, international and domestic baggage claim, ground transport, wayfinding, and more.
Passenger360 blends airport and airline branding and media with FIDS/BIDS/GIDS data and other travel-related messaging to ensure passengers can easily traverse the airport. It delivers efficient, streamlined experiences at each touchpoint. Localized content creates a distinct sense of place. Changes in programming, airline branding, languages, content, and other messages are handled automatically via integration with airport systems.
Terminal C opened to passengers on time in September 2022. Passengers and the press celebrated Terminal C's artful, futuristic, and high-tech design.
