What happens when airport content and display technology are designed to work together from the beginning?
At FTE Global 2026, Synect and Daktronics are bringing together content strategy, creative, and display technology to show what a more connected approach to airport communication can look like. Visit us in Booth C1 Sept. 8 – 10 to see it for yourself.
Keep reading to learn how combining smart strategies, content, and technology helps airports make the most of their visual communication ecosystem.

Purposeful Content Enhances Flexible Technology
The best airport content starts with strategy. Airport objectives, passenger needs, operational realities, and key decision points should define what needs to be communicated, where, and how.
This analysis should happen first, so it can inform investments in displays, software, and other technology. Faith Varwig, Founder and Managing Principal of Faith Group put a very fine point on it during our 2024 FTE panel: “If you don’t plan ahead, you can end up stuck with bad design and bad signs.”
In Booth C1, Synect will showcase the power of custom content with FTE-exclusive designs. Our work will demonstrate how thoughtful communication can establish a sense of place, create more connected airport experiences, reduce passenger stress, and improve efficiency.

The content will run on Daktronics' 1.2mm Chip-on-Board (COB) LED displays in three unique configurations:
A Portal Wall for airport branding and experience storytelling
A Totem for wayfinding, queuing, branding, and targeted messaging
A Flag Display for gate information, alerts, wayfinding, and targeted messaging
Daktronics' displays are designed for flexible architectural integrations, including the ability to wrap content around corners and maintain clarity for both close-up and large-format viewing. The experience will demonstrate how functional information can work alongside visually engaging content to guide passengers, reinforce an airport’s identity, and even help reduce perceived wait times.
“Airports make major investments in displays and technology, but without the right strategy and content to bring those investments to life and deliver the intended passenger experience, they risk missing the mark. Our booth with Daktronics will show what’s possible when strategy, content, and display technology are aligned from the beginning,” said Gina Marie Paquette, Synect’s Director of Business Development.
More to See at FTE
This will be Synect’s biggest FTE Global yet. As Montee Fiely, Synect's Head of Strategic Engagement, recently told our team:
“FTE is where the industry meets to talk about what's happening now and what's coming next. Airport leaders are being asked to make decisions now about AI, checkpoint modernization, passenger communication, and the technologies that will support them for years to come. FTE gives us the perfect opportunity to move those conversations forward.”
Visit Synect and Daktronics in Booth C1 to pick up your copy of the Synect Lookbook, a pair of Synect-branded socks, and other goodies to make your trip home a little easier. If you visit us on Wednesday, Sept. 9 between 9 a.m. and 3 p.m., you can also grab a free cup of coffee with our team.
It wouldn't be FTE without a packed agenda. Here are all the times you can meet our team:
